We chatted with the representative of our M&E (Meeting & Event) team, Edwin Yeoh, to learn how his team manage every detail to create seamless and memorable experiences for their clients. From brainstorming sessions to the final touches on the day of the event, their planning and dedication ensured that each moment is perfectly orchestrated. How well did Meetings and Event team understand and meet the client’s specific requirements?
Edwin: I would say the M&E team did an excellent job in understanding and fulfilling the client's specific requirements. For example, a client requested a themed corporate retreat that included team-building activities. We crafted a detailed itinerary that aligned with their vision and incorporated these activities. In January 2024, we organized an event in Langkawi where the client wanted a relax and comfortable environment rather than a stressful meeting setting. So, we chose an island that provided meeting spaces and team-building activities, curated by us, Apxara. We tailored the event to the venue to ensure the client and their guests had an enjoyable experience. The result was we were rated 5 out 5 by them.
In your opinion, how would you rate the ease of booking and planning the event with Meeting & Event department and why?
Edwin: Of course, I would rate the booking and planning process with M&E department as excellent! In my opinion, the initial booking with us is straightforward, with clear instructions. I admit, although there might be some slight delay in receiving the quotations and proposals sometime, but with the help support from the team, we were always available to address any questions or concerns by the client. So, thank you team for having each other’s back.
Can you describe the quality and effectiveness of the communication you received from the clients, during, and after your event?
Edwin: I have to say, communication with most of our clients was smooth throughout the event process. For example, during the planning stages, the team ensured regular check-ins and updates, which helped keeping everyone on the same page. Then, during the event itself usually there were a few hiccups where last-minute changes needed quicker responses, but fret not! Our team always managed it very well. We conducted post-mortem meetings to inform the client about the next day's activities. After the event, we also did follow-up with clients for any feedback to ensure client satisfaction.
How satisfied were the clients with the facilities, technology, and logistics provided during your event?
Edwin: Overall, so far clients were very satisfied with our service and logistics arrangements. The venue was beyond their expectations, which met all of their requirements and sessions. Logistics, including transportation and accommodations, all were handled efficiently, so that there were no major hiccups during the event.
Lastly, would you recommend your Meeting & Event team/services to others, and why?
Edwin: Yes, of course I would definitely recommend our M&E team to others. The team is highly professional and dedicated in making each event a success, because we believe every successful event starts with a dream, and it is the job of our team to bring that dream to life. Our M&E team is great at understanding client needs and customizing events accordingly. I also believe there are always areas for improvement but the overall experience is very positive.
